Privacy Policy
Effective October 13, 2026
The Artist Colonnade is a gallery of original work by local artists, and a service that builds websites for artists. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- From artists: your name, email address, phone number (optional), website (optional), and the photos and details of the work you submit.
- From buyers: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and message when you ask about a piece.
- From subscribers: the account details needed to run your plan. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Automatically: standard technical information your browser sends (such as IP address and pages visited), which our hosting provider uses to deliver and protect the site.
How we use it
- To review, display and manage the work artists submit.
- To pass a buyer's inquiry to the artist so they can reply directly.
- To run subscriptions, send receipts, trial reminders and account emails.
- To answer your questions and keep the site secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only as needed to run the site:
- The artist receives the name, email, phone and message a buyer sends about their work.
- Buyers see the artist's name, and their website if the artist chose to list one. An artist's email and phone are not shown publicly.
- Service providers who work on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Resend (email delivery).
- The law: when required to comply with a legal obligation or to protect the rights and safety of others.
Your choices
You may ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove your work from the site, by emailing hello@theartistcolonnade.com. We will respond within 30 days. Some records (for example, billing records) may need to be kept for legal or tax reasons.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across other websites and do not use advertising trackers, so we do not respond differently to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
